Previously, the Public Relations Officer of the GES, Daniel Fenyi, indicated that the prospectus harmonised was aimed at helping parents and guardians to purchase things with their wards and children.
The discussion on the prospectus, he further added, was being carried out with the school heads, other stakeholders and parents and teachers.
“We always want our policies and programmes to be consultative enough so that by the time it comes out, it would have reflected the aspirations of all the stakeholders and parties involved,” he said.
The GES stated that a total of 483,800 of those who sat for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) have been allocated correspondingly to Senior High Schools (SHSs), Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) and Technical and Vocational Institutions (TVIs).
The number represents 82 per cent of 590,309 candidates who are eligible to be placed out of the 603,328 students who sat for the exam this year.
Today, 248,038 of the total are females and account for 51.4 per cent of students already placed.
