New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has praised Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka as a visionary and Ghana's foremost innovator.
Following Apostle Safo's death on Thursday, September 11, 2025, Agyapong described the news as a personal tragedy, citing the Kristo Asafo founder's commendable vision, determination, and pioneering nature.
"I was deeply touched by the passing of Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, a true giant in Ghanaian innovation. He was among the greatest industrial visionaries our nation has ever had," Agyapong stated.
He regretted that Ghana had not been able to provide the strategic support needed to take Kantanka's inventions to the global stage.
Highlighting the lasting legacy of the late inventor, Agyapong added, "His life work showed that Ghanaians are more than capable of leading in science, technology, and industrial development. He shattered all doubts about our ability to innovate and create an independent nation."
He concluded by challenging generations yet to come to take lessons from Kantanka's legacy.
"His achievement is the guiding light for those who are committed to the industrialization of Ghana. With determination and belief in ourselves, we can follow in his footsteps. Let his revolutionary spirit continue to motivate us. May he rest in peace forever," he said.
