The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has paid a worthy eulogy to the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, terming him a generation inventor, a philanthropist, a man of God, and a great pillar of strength to the Party.
In a Monday, September 15, 2025, release signed by the Party's General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, NPP mourned Apostle Safo's death and extended condolences to his family and the Kristo Asafo Mission.
The founder of the Kristo Asafo Church and Kantanka Group of Companies died last Thursday at age 77.
Also known as the "Star of Africa," Apostle Safo founded the Kristo Asafo Mission, the KOSA group of companies, and Kantanka Group of Companies, including Kantanka Automobile, Ghana's indigenous automobile company.
His technology, agricultural, and industrial innovation breakthroughs made him one of Africa's leading inventors and industrialists.
The Party further noted that Apostle Safo was not only an inspiration to so many people but also an excellent patron of the NPP in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency, where his daughter, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, represented the Party in Parliament for three consecutive terms.
"The NPP is shocked by his death and offers its sincerest condolences to the bereaved family and the Kristo Asafo Mission.".
The Party also feels the pain of the rest of the nation for the painful loss of this exceptional, illustrious citizen," the statement said.
The NPP also added that Apostle Safo's enduring legacy of creativity, innovativeness, and service to humankind would keep inspiring generations in Ghana and globally.
