Ex-President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo categorically said he is confident the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will recapture power for the party in the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the party will leverage its legacy during his tenure and that of ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor in order to capture power.
Speaking on the occasion of the commissioning of the newly constructed NPP Constituency office by Asenso-Boakye on Friday, September 19, he stated the success of the NPP in his and former President John Agyekum Kufuor's tenure as the starting point of a return in 2028.
"The works the NPP did during my tenure in office and also during former President Kufuor's reign are monumental, and let us not forget, it is those works those that we will focus on to capture power back in 2028," said the former president.
The current state of affairs in the nation under President Mahama, he argues, is not good and a call to party members of NPP to unite and be on target with the mission.
We have all seen what is happening — you've all seen it. Things are not good. But when we vote in our candidate and we unite and do things properly, I know that with the help of God, we will acquire power in 2028," he added.
