The Madina District Court has granted bail to the main suspect in the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussain Suale.
Investigative journalist Daniel Owusu Koranteng had been charged with abetment of crime and murder over the death of Ahmed Suale.
Prosecution alleged that he brought two other suspected criminals who are currently at large to Ahmed Suale's home, where he was subsequently shot and killed by unknown attackers.
He has nonetheless entered a plea of not guilty and is on a GHC50,000 bond.
At court on Tuesday, October 14, prosecution leader Nana Afua Bamfoa Bamfo informed the court that they had been directed by the Attorney-General to withdraw the case.
The presiding judge, Susan Nyarkotey, then acquitted Daniel Owusu Koranteng and shelved the case.
