Dr Opoku Prempeh speaks for UK Conservative Party's Conference in Manchester

Following the 2024 elections, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is re-stabilizing its politicking, and major party personality Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has reaffirmed the Party's international alignments with global conservative elements.

NPP 2024 vice-presidential candidate Dr. Opoku Prempeh attended the UK Conservative Party Conference in Manchester.

In a statement that he published on his Facebook page, he described the event as an opportunity to reinforce the "timeless bonds" between the NPP and the UK Conservative Party.

"Our shared belief in democracy, enterprise, and opportunity remains a spur to progress – both at home and abroad," he said.

The gesture, if symbolic, is politically important. It shows the NPP's resolve to remain active on the international front and ideologically anchored in center-right ideological positions, even in opposition.

For a party in the process of re-grouping and re-strategizing for the 2028 elections, events like this, international linkages are both an inspiration source and a statement of relevance.

Dr. Prempeh's presence at the Conservative Party Congress is a sign of his continued influence within the NPP, although no longer formally holding one of the frontline campaign roles.

As having been Energy Minister in the previous government and being one of the pillars of the 2024 campaign, Napo remains one of the party's most recognized and vocal members.

Political analysts view the visit as part of the NPP's grand strategy to brand itself as a credible, progressive alternative to the government.

By aligning itself with winning international conservative parties, the NPP hopes to reinforce its message on issues of economic empowerment, private sector enterprise, and responsible leadership that it will carry into the 2028 elections.

The post was-backhanded with campaign hashtags such as #WithOurOwnHands, #HopeForGhana, and #LeadershipInService, all of which suggest that the NPP is interested in keeping the people interested and building momentum even when out of power.

As the political landscape starts to head into 2028, Dr. Opoku Prempeh's foreign escapades may be paving the way for a continued place in the next installment of the party, either as a kingmaker, a strategist, or a candidate.
